Area of Discipline / Professional Expertise:

  • Athletic Training

Research:

  • My general area of research is the study of neuromechanics related to joint injury and rehabilitation. More specifically I deal with the dynamic restraint system the body uses to protect the joint during activity. I am currently developing treatment interventions that will decrease the incidence of joint injury and help therapists return the physically active to to full activity less susceptible to reinjuring the joint.

Education:

  • PhD, Sports Medicine/Life Sciences, Indiana State University, 2000
  • MS, Athletic Training, Indiana State University, 1997
  • BS, PE/Athletic Training, Brigham Young University, 1996

Affiliations:
